·· About Me ··

About Me

I’m a versatile freelance graphic designer for print and digital projects with more than 30 years’ experience.

I’ve trained and found my feet in a busy design agency in Germany, moved on to lay out magazines and was then employed by a professional membership body, where I helped more than 1,600 projects over the finishing line

In the same position, I won the MemCom Award for the Best Rebrand.

In 2016, I set myself up as a freelancer and, since then, I’ve worked with companies like Decathlon UK, EG+ (Omnicom Group), the NHS, GSK, Tourettes Action and The Neurological Alliance among others.

I also produced the photo book ‘Destination Punk’ and laid out the travel journal ‘Looking for America’.

I’ve been employed locally by the digital marketing agency, Blue Cactus, where I worked on print and digital as well as rebranding projects.

I design with Creative Suite (mostly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD) as well as Canva, and also know my way around Figma, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

I took the Aquent HTML/CSS coding course for designers and learned front-end webpage development with Elementor on WordPress.

Additionally, I attended the General Assembly course on UX Design.

I’m a friendly and easygoing person who easily falls into hyper focus to get the job done. Tight deadlines and stressful times are typically met with a good sense of humour and I’m priding myself on an eye for detail that aligns every element on a page and finds the most hidden typo.

In my spare time, I like to mix design with my passion for music and help out bands on their quest to rock the world. I’m a seasoned hiker and like to explore spirituality and the paranormal.
